This polyclonal reagent targets dopamine β-hydroxylase, the copper-dependent enzyme that converts dopamine to norepinephrine within catecholamine biosynthesis pathways. Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody in a 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide (approximate pH 7.2), it is validated for western blot workflows against human, mouse, and rat sample lysates. Investigators studying sympathetic nervous system signaling, adrenal chromaffin cell function, stress-axis responses, or neurodegenerative disease models commonly apply the antibody to characterize noradrenergic neuron markers and follow DBH expression changes under pharmacological or genetic manipulation. The azide-containing buffer supports working-stock stability when aliquoted and stored refrigerated, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the stock vial avoided.
