Phosphorylation of DARPP-32, the 32 kDa dopamine- and cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein, at threonine 34 by protein kinase A is a widely measured marker of dopamine D1 receptor activation in striatal medium spiny neurons. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com selectively detects that PKA-substrate modification, supporting signal-pathway studies in neuroscience research.
Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry, the reagent cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples and supports investigations of dopaminergic signaling, synaptic plasticity, and striatal circuit function. Common applications include rodent models of Parkinson's disease, drug addiction, and reward circuitry.
Supplied at 1 mg/ml as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. For long-term use, aliquot and freeze; protect from light.
