The C9 clone is a mouse IgG1 monoclonal that specifically recognizes the D-dimer antigen, a cross-linked fibrin degradation fragment generated during plasmin-mediated fibrinolysis. Researchers use this Antibodies.com reagent in western blot, ELISA, and lateral flow immunoassays to detect fibrin breakdown products in clinical and translational studies of venous thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism, and disseminated intravascular coagulation.

Supplied as 1 mg of unconjugated antibody in a vial, the reagent should be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20 degrees C for long-term stability, with limited freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. The IgG1 isotype allows pairing with anti-mouse IgG secondary conjugates for indirect detection across multiple assay formats.
