Antibodies.com provides this Rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against D-3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH), the rate-limiting enzyme of the de novo serine biosynthesis pathway that converts 3-phosphoglycerate to 3-phosphohydroxypyruvate. PHGDH has become a focal target in cancer metabolism research because amplification or overexpression of the gene fuels one-carbon metabolism, nucleotide synthesis, and redox balance in subsets of breast carcinoma, melanoma, and certain lung tumors, while biallelic loss-of-function variants are linked to severe serine biosynthesis defects that disrupt neural development.

This unconjugated primary antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human tissue and cell-line samples, supporting studies of metabolic reprogramming, tumor serine dependence, and PHGDH expression profiling in patient-derived material. Each 100 µg vial is supplied as affinity-purified rabbit IgG; for best results, store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve reagent activity across blotting and staining workflows.
