Produced by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for epithelial and cytokeratin research, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets Cytokeratin 8 (KRT8), a type II cytoskeletal keratin widely used as an epithelial and hepatocyte marker. The antibody is supplied at 50 µl with a concentration of 1 mg/mL in a liquid formulation of PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is unconjugated for flexible assay design. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified from antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, it is of the IgG isotype and detects endogenous levels of Cytokeratin 8. The immunogen corresponds to a synthetic peptide derived from human Keratin 8 (amino acids 41–90), and the antibody has been validated for Western blot (1:500–1:1000), Immunohistochemistry (1:100–1:300), Immunofluorescence (1:200–1:1000) and ELISA (1:40000). It has been verified to react with Human, Mouse and Monkey samples, with no reported cross-reactivity. For best stability, the reagent should be stored at –20 °C, where it remains viable for approximately one year. This makes the Antibodies.com Anti-Cytokeratin 8 Antibody a reliable tool for routine epithelial cell profiling, hepatocyte characterization and cytoskeletal intermediate filament studies across orthogonal applications.
