Anti-Cytokeratin 7 (C-terminus) Antibody

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody targets the C-terminus of Cytokeratin 7 (KRT7), a type II intermediate filament protein expressed in simple and glandular epithelia. Produced by Antibodies.com as a purified immunoglobulin in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, the reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial intended for western blot and immunocytochemistry workflows against human samples.

KRT7 immunolabeling is widely used in tumor pathology to distinguish adenocarcinoma subtypes of lung, breast, ovarian, endometrial, and urothelial origin, and to separate them from CK7-negative colorectal primaries when paired with CK20. As a C-terminal epitope reagent, the clone provides an alternative recognition site useful when N-terminal epitopes are masked by fixation or truncation, supporting consistent detection of full-length and partially processed cytokeratin in cultured cell lines and tissue sections.
