Cytokeratin 19 (CK19) is a type I intermediate filament protein expressed in simple epithelia and commonly used as an immunohistochemical marker in epithelial-origin tumor research. This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, is unconjugated and validated across multiple experimental platforms including western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry (FC).

The reagent reacts with both human and mouse cytokeratin 19, supporting translational studies that bridge preclinical mouse models with clinical human tissue specimens. CK19 is widely investigated as a circulating tumor cell biomarker in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, is used for distinguishing carcinoma from mesothelioma in pleural effusion workups, and serves as a read-out for epithelial differentiation in stem cell and regenerative biology workflows.

The product ships as 100 µl of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody in a buffer containing TBS (pH 7.4), 1% BSA, and 40% glycerol, with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. Short-term storage at 4 °C is appropriate for working aliquots; for longer intervals, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20 °C to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles. This single-use vial format is ready to dilute directly into standard immunostaining or lysis protocols without further preparation.
