Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) is a ~40 kDa type I intermediate filament protein expressed in simple epithelia and many carcinomas, where it serves as a marker of epithelial differentiation and is widely used to identify circulating tumor cells in peripheral blood and disseminated tumor cells in lymph nodes.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against Cytokeratin 19 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, packaged as a 100 µl vial ready for dilution into standard assay buffers.

Validated applications include Western blot for detection of the ~40 kDa band in cell and tissue lysates, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, and immunofluorescence on cultured cells and frozen tissue. The antibody shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies of epithelial biology, squamous and adenocarcinoma characterization, and tumor marker research.

Recommended storage is at -20 °C in the supplied glycerol buffer; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and aliquot upon first use to preserve antibody activity. For research use only.
