Anti-Cytokeratin 18 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-Cytokeratin 18 polyclonal antibody targets the type I intermediate filament protein KRT18, which is expressed in simple and glandular epithelia, hepatocytes, and most epithelial-derived carcinomas. The 48 kDa protein serves as a widely cited marker for epithelial differentiation in tumor pathology, liver toxicity studies, and circulating tumor cell detection workflows.

Validated for western blot applications, this unconjugated IgG reagent detects endogenous CK18 in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat samples, and also recognizes caspase-cleaved fragments generated during apoptosis. Cleaved CK18 is a well-characterized biomarker of hepatocyte injury and epithelial cell death.

Each vial is supplied as 100 µg of liquid antibody in an unconjugated format appropriate for downstream HRP- or fluorophore-based labeling.
