This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), a hepatic phase I enzyme of the cytochrome P450 superfamily involved in the oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics including ethanol, acetaminophen, and several procarcinogens. The unconjugated reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of antiserum, raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human samples.

CYP2E1 is inducible by substrates such as ethanol, isoniazid, and acetone, and its expression is relevant to studies of drug-induced hepatotoxicity, oxidative stress, and chemical carcinogenesis. Researchers using this reagent can probe CYP2E1 protein levels in liver tissue sections and cultured cell models to investigate metabolic activation, enzyme induction, and disease associations in human specimens.

Provided as a 100 µl aliquot, the polyclonal antibody offers epitope diversity suited to detecting native and denatured CYP2E1 across multiple platforms. Storage at -20 °C in small working aliquots helps preserve activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles for research use only applications.
