Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Cytochrome c and is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot of purified IgG at 1.0 mg/mL. The antibody is unconjugated and was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen — a synthesized peptide derived from human Cytochrome c — yielding a preparation that recognizes endogenous levels of total Cytochrome c protein. It is formulated in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and the isotype is rabbit IgG. Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), the reagent has been shown to react with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it a broadly useful tool for apoptosis, mitochondrial, and cell-signalling studies across these three species. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and, once received, should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. The target is also known by the gene symbols CYC and CYCS, and the antibody is intended for research use only — not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
