Antibodies.com offers a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against the Rieske iron-sulfur protein, the catalytic core of mitochondrial Complex III (ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase). The target is encoded by UQCRFS1 and anchors the high-potential 2Fe-2S cluster within the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it shuttles electrons from ubiquinol to cytochrome c during oxidative phosphorylation. Affinity-purified and unconjugated, the antibody is supplied at 100 µg per vial and is intended for research use only.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the reagent detects endogenous protein in cell lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the mature subunit, supporting studies of precursor processing and mitochondrial import. Applications include investigation of Complex III assembly, electron transport chain dysfunction, mitochondrial disease models, and neurodegeneration linked to impaired oxidative phosphorylation.

Pairs with anti-rabbit secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or chromogenic detection in standard immunodetection workflows. Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, and reactivity has been confirmed against human tissue.
