Cytidine deaminase (CDA) is a pyrimidine-metabolizing enzyme that hydrolytically deaminates cytidine and deoxycytidine to uridine and deoxyuridine, supporting nucleoside salvage and shaping the intracellular pharmacology of cytidine analog drugs such as cytarabine and gemcitabine. The Antibodies.com polyclonal antiserum is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 100 µg per vial, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. Researchers studying nucleotide metabolism, chemotherapy responsiveness, or pyrimidine catabolism use this reagent to localize endogenous CDA in cell lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections. Each lot is quality-controlled for the listed applications; small aliquots are recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the reagent should be protected from light and stored refrigerated to preserve activity over the stated shelf life.
