CYP2C9 is a hepatic cytochrome P450 monooxygenase responsible for the oxidative metabolism of a substantial fraction of clinically prescribed drugs, including the anticoagulant warfarin, the anticonvulsant phenytoin, and several nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents. Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody is unconjugated and supplied as 100 µl. Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications, the reagent detects CYP2C9 in both human and mouse samples. The antibody supports research into hepatic drug clearance, pharmacogenomic variation associated with the CYP2C9*2 and *3 alleles, and xenobiotic metabolism in liver tissue. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots preserves reactivity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles. As a polyclonal reagent, it offers broader epitope recognition than monoclonal alternatives, accommodating natural sequence variants of the enzyme. For research use only.
