Anti-CYP2A6 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets cytochrome P450 2A6 (CYP2A6), a hepatic microsomal monooxygenase best known for metabolizing nicotine, coumarin, and several clinically prescribed drugs. Supplied as a 100 µl vial, the IgG antibody is validated for Western blot detection of CYP2A6 in human and mouse samples.

CYP2A6 is expressed in liver and respiratory epithelium and contributes to the bioactivation of tobacco-specific nitrosamines, making it a frequent focus of pharmacogenomics, smoking-related cancer research, and personalized medicine studies. The polyclonal format tolerates minor sequence variation across patient-derived samples and knockout controls, while the unconjugated primary can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies chosen by the end user.
