Anti-CYP20A1 Antibody

Polyclonal antibodies from Antibodies.com targeting CYP20A1 provide a research-grade reagent for studying this relatively under-characterized cytochrome P450 family member. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µL liquid, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, supporting detection of endogenous CYP20A1 in cell and tissue lysates as well as in fixed tissue sections. The reagent cross-reacts with both Human and Mouse CYP20A1, enabling translational comparisons between patient-derived samples and experimental murine tissue, and is applied to investigations of xenobiotic metabolism, mitochondrial monooxygenase activity, and emerging links to neurodegenerative disease models where altered CYP20A1 expression has been reported. For Western blot, the antibody is generally used with nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes following SDS-PAGE separation, paired with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies and chemiluminescent detection. For IHC, citrate-based heat-induced epitope retrieval with DAB or fluorescent secondaries is commonly performed on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
