Produced in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily A member 1 (CYP1A1), a dioxin-inducible monooxygenase central to xenobiotic metabolism and aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) signaling. The storage matrix contains PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute into blocking or antibody diluent for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

Validated on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports studies in toxicology, environmental chemical exposure, and drug-induced gene regulation. CYP1A1 catalyzes the bioactivation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and is frequently interrogated in lung, liver, and placental tissue to characterize AhR-mediated transcriptional responses. Researchers commonly pair this reagent with CYP1B1 and AhR markers to distinguish dioxin- versus phenobarbital-induced cytochrome P450 expression profiles.

For western blot, standard reducing SDS-PAGE conditions followed by transfer to PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes work well; an expected band appears near the 55-60 kDa region depending on isoform. IHC on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections usually requires heat-induced antigen retrieval in citrate buffer at pH 6.0. Store the undiluted stock at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light.
