CYP19A1 encodes aromatase, the cytochrome P450 enzyme responsible for the final and rate-limiting step of estrogen biosynthesis, converting androgens such as androstenedione and testosterone into estrone and estradiol. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against CYP19A1 and is validated across Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. Reactivity is confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of steroidogenesis, reproductive biology, hormone-dependent cancers, and placental or gonadal tissue research.
Supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, the reagent should be stored refrigerated to preserve immunoreactivity and is intended for research use only. Researchers investigating aromatase expression in granulosa cells, Leydig cells, adipose tissue, or breast tumor specimens will find this antibody useful for examining both physiological estrogen production and dysregulated aromatase activity in disease contexts.
