Anti-CYP11B2 Antibody

CYP11B2 encodes aldosterone synthase, a mitochondrial cytochrome P450 enzyme that catalyzes the terminal steps of aldosterone biosynthesis in the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, is validated for Western blot detection of CYP11B2 in human and mouse samples.

The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial and serves studies of steroidogenesis, primary aldosteronism, adrenal cortex biology, mineralocorticoid signaling, and cardiovascular or renal mechanisms tied to dysregulated aldosterone output. As a polyclonal reagent, it targets multiple epitopes on CYP11B2, an asset when probing samples that may carry post-translational modifications or partial proteolysis.
