Anti-CYFIP1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets CYFIP1 (Cytoplasmic FMR1-Interacting Protein 1), a core subunit of the WAVE regulatory complex that controls Arp2/3-mediated actin branching at the leading edge of lamellipodia. CYFIP1 also binds FMRP at neuronal synapses to gate local translation, and altered dosage is studied in the context of Fragile X syndrome, the 15q11.2 microdeletion region, and neurodevelopmental disorder research.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is validated for western blot detection of endogenous CYFIP1 in cell and tissue lysates. Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species work in neuronal lines, brain homogenates, and primary cultures used to probe cytoskeletal remodeling, synaptic signaling, and translational regulation.

The vial contains 50 µl of antibody, sufficient for multiple blotting experiments when diluted into blocking buffer. Short-term storage at 4°C is appropriate; for longer projects, aliquot and freeze to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the sodium azide-containing buffer and preserve binding performance across replicates.
