Cyclin H is a regulatory cyclin that pairs with CDK7 to form the CDK-activating kinase, a module embedded within the general transcription factor TFIIH. It contributes to transcription initiation by enabling phosphorylation of the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II and supports the nucleotide excision repair of UV-damaged DNA, making it a useful marker for studies of cell cycle progression, transcriptional control, and DNA damage response. Antibodies.com supplies an unconjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody raised against Cyclin H and validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation of human samples. The reagent is provided as 100 µL of purified immunoglobulin in a Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. For optimal shelf life, store the vial at -20 °C and protect from light, preparing single-use aliquots upon arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over time.
