Raised in rabbit against the cyclin-dependent kinase-activating cyclin subunit, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Cyclin H, a core component of the TFIIH transcription factor and CDK-activating kinase (CAK) complex. Supplied in a 100 µl vial as a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Cyclin H assembles with CDK7 and MAT1 into the CDK-activating kinase (CAK) complex, which phosphorylates the T-loop of CDKs and the carboxyl-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II, making this antibody useful for studies of transcription initiation, DNA damage response, and checkpoint control. The polyclonal format provides broad epitope coverage for detecting endogenous cyclin H in whole-cell lysates, tissue sections, and fixed cells, and the glycerol-containing buffer allows the reagent to remain ready for storage at -20°C with minimal freeze-thaw cycling.

Researchers working on nucleotide excision repair, chromatin regulation, and CDK signaling pathways commonly apply this reagent to investigate how cyclin H expression or localization changes under experimental perturbation, and the human/mouse/rat reactivity broadens its utility for translational and comparative model systems.
