Anti-Cyclin D3 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets Cyclin D3, a regulatory cyclin protein that partners with CDK4 and CDK6 to drive the G1-to-S phase transition of the cell cycle. Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, the antibody is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples.

The reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, supplied as a 100 µl volume. The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant allows the antibody to be stored at -20 °C without repeated freeze-thaw damage to the preparation. As an unconjugated antibody, it fits standard chromogenic IHC detection on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections and chemiluminescent western blot detection of the Cyclin D3 band, and can be paired with a labelled secondary antibody of the researcher's choice for immunofluorescence or other detection platforms.

Cyclin D3 is studied in the context of lymphocyte development, where it compensates for Cyclin D2 in certain B- and T-cell populations, and in cancer biology, where its overexpression and role alongside CDK6 in hyperphosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein make it a marker of interest in lymphoma and multiple myeloma research. For western blot, researchers commonly load 20-40 µg of total cell lysate per lane, while IHC workflows typically include a citrate or EDTA antigen retrieval step before primary antibody incubation.
