A recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody directed against Cyclin D1, the cyclin family member that partners with CDK4 and CDK6 to drive the G1 to S phase transition by phosphorylating the retinoblastoma protein. Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 50 µl liquid vial, the antibody is raised in rabbit and purified as a monoclonal preparation, delivered in 1×TBS buffer (pH 7.4) supplemented with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative.

The reagent has been validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry on paraffin and frozen sections, and immunoprecipitation workflows. Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat Cyclin D1, making it a versatile research tool across cell line panels, primary cultures, and tissue specimens where G1/S checkpoint control, Rb pathway activity, or proliferative signaling is being examined. Researchers commonly use it to track cell cycle entry in synchronized cultures, to assess mitogenic responses to growth factor stimulation, and to monitor changes in cyclin D1 abundance following RNAi knockdown or small molecule CDK4/6 inhibitor treatment.

Cyclin D1 (encoded by CCND1) is a routine marker in tumor biology, with frequent overexpression in mantle cell lymphoma driven by the t(11;14) translocation, as well as in subsets of breast, lung, and head and neck carcinomas. The antibody is therefore used in both basic research into cell cycle regulation and in diagnostic pathology workflows that aim to distinguish cyclin D1-positive lymphoid lesions from morphologic mimics. The BSA and glycerol formulation supports short term storage at 4°C and longer term storage at -20°C without loss of activity; aliquoting after first thaw avoids degradation from repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
