From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes Cyclin B1, a key cyclin family member that pairs with CDK1 to form maturation-promoting factor and drive the G2/M transition of the cell cycle. Cyclin B1 accumulates through S and G2 phases, peaks at mitosis, and is destroyed by the APC/C ubiquitin ligase at anaphase, so its abundance is routinely tracked as a marker of mitotic entry and proliferative status in cancer biology, cell cycle studies, and drug-response screens.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of ready-to-titer reagent. The polyclonal response targets multiple epitopes on Cyclin B1, which is useful when following phosphorylation-driven mobility shifts on SDS-PAGE or monitoring the subcellular redistribution from cytoplasm to condensed chromosomes as cells approach mitosis.

The reagent carries the Ab-147 designation, has been reactivity-tested on human tissue and cell lines, and is commonly deployed to profile Cyclin B1 expression across tumor and matched normal samples, confirm synchronization at the G2/M boundary after thymidine or nocodazole block, validate mitotic arrest induced by CDK1 inhibitors, and highlight mitotic figures in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections.

Storage: store at -20 °C, protect from light, and divide into working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
