Anti-CYBB Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the cytochrome b-245 beta chain (CYBB), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody targets the catalytic core of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase complex, also referenced as gp91phox and NOX2. CYBB sits in the membrane and transfers electrons across the phagosomal wall during the respiratory burst, making it a standard marker in neutrophil and macrophage oxidative-burst research, as well as in chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) studies where loss-of-function mutations on the X-linked CYBB locus disrupt ROS generation.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the reagent binds human, mouse, and rat CYBB, which lets a single lot be used across patient-derived samples and common rodent inflammation models such as LPS challenge, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and diabetic nephropathy. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a single-use vial, the antibody can be paired with an enzyme- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary for chromogenic or fluorescent IHC labeling, and applied to standard immunoblotting of membrane-enriched fractions to resolve the full-length glycoprotein band.
