The CXCR3 protein is a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled chemokine receptor that mediates calcium mobilization and chemotactic responses in activated T lymphocytes, NK cells, and select B cell subsets upon binding its cognate ligands CXCL9 (MIG), CXCL10 (IP-10), and CXCL11 (I-TAC). This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against an immunogenic region of human CXCR3 and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. It recognizes an epitope conserved in both human and mouse orthologs, supporting comparative studies across species in models of T cell trafficking, Th1-skewed inflammation, graft-versus-host disease, and tumor immune infiltration. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified antiserum in a buffered carrier solution for use in standard immunoblotting and chromogenic IHC detection. Because CXCR3 expression is dynamically regulated on activated effector lymphocytes, this antibody is frequently used in research investigating autoimmune inflammation, transplant rejection, and the tumor microenvironment, where receptor upregulation on infiltrating CD8+ T cells has been documented as a marker of antigen-experienced effector populations. The unconjugated format allows secondary antibody pairing flexibility across fluorescence, HRP, and alkaline phosphatase detection chemistries.
