Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against CXCL1 (GRO-alpha), a chemokine implicated in neutrophil recruitment and inflammatory signalling. The immunogen is a recombinant human CXCL1 protein, and the antibody recognises the endogenous total CXCL1 protein in native samples. It is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified Ig preparation at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. For long-term integrity, the product should be stored at –20 °C, with handling limited to minimal freeze/thaw cycles. The antibody has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and it cross-reacts with human, mouse and rat samples, giving it broad utility across cell-based and tissue-based studies of chemokine biology. Researchers working on inflammation, tumour microenvironment, wound healing or neutrophil chemotaxis will find this reagent suitable for detecting CXCL1 expression in cultured cells and tissue sections from rodent models as well as human specimens. Because it is a polyclonal reagent, the Antibodies.com antibody binds multiple epitopes on the CXCL1 target, which can be advantageous when signal strength or detection of low-abundance protein is a priority.
