Targeting the type I transmembrane CXADR (Coxsackievirus and Adenovirus Receptor) cell adhesion molecule, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.2. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.
Investigators apply this antibody to studies of epithelial tight junction biology, viral entry pathways engaged by coxsackievirus B and adenovirus serotypes during host cell attachment, and the tumor suppressor activity reported for CXADR in certain lung and gastric carcinoma models. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes spanning the extracellular Ig-like loops and the transmembrane region, supporting detection of the full-length receptor in both denatured lysates and partially native membrane preparations.
Aliquot the 100 µL vial upon first thaw, store refrigerated between uses, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity over the working shelf life of the stock.
