CX3CR1 is the dedicated G protein-coupled receptor for the chemokine fractalkine (CX3CL1) and is most studied as a microglial marker in central nervous system tissue. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against CX3CR1 and validated for Western blot detection of the receptor in human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative, buffered to approximately pH 7.2, and provided as a 100 µl vial. The antibody supports studies of fractalkine signalling, microglial activation, neuroinflammation, monocyte recruitment, and related immune and cardiovascular pathways in which CX3CR1 plays a defined role.
