Anti-CUTA Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the human CutA divalent cation tolerance homolog, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied unconjugated at 200 µl per vial and is validated for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples. CUTA maps to chromosomal locus 6p21.33 (aliases C6orf82 and ACHAP) and encodes a small protein that resolves by SDS-PAGE as two endogenous species: a heavy, membrane-anchored isoform of approximately 20 kDa and a cytosolic light component near 13 kDa, produced by alternative translation initiation at M1, M43, and M63. Researchers studying copper ion homeostasis, acetylcholinesterase membrane anchoring, and BACE1-mediated processing of amyloid precursor protein use this reagent on subcellular fractions to follow that heavy/light partitioning.
