Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG against human Cullin 4B (UniProt Q13620, gene symbol CUL4B, NCBI gene ID 8450), this 200 µL reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. CUL4B functions as a scaffold for the CRL4 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, supporting polyubiquitination of substrates such as CDT1 and histones H2A, H3, and H4 during the DNA damage response and chromatin remodeling. The protein is encoded on the X chromosome, and loss-of-function variants in CUL4B cause Cabezas X-linked intellectual disability syndrome (MRXSC) and Smith-Fineman-Myers syndrome type 2 (MRXHF2), making this reagent a useful tool for neurodevelopmental and genome stability research.

The polyclonal format recognises multiple epitopes of the endogenous target, with an observed band near 110 kDa on western blot (calculated isoforms at 84, 102, and 103 kDa). Reactivity is confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections. The vial is shipped cold and should be stored at -20°C; aliquoting is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and the unconjugated IgG fraction pairs readily with a wide choice of secondary reagents. Intended for research use only.
