Cathepsin Z (CTSZ) is a lysosomal cysteine carboxypeptidase of the peptidase C1 family that participates in integrin-mediated cell adhesion, extracellular matrix remodeling, and tumor cell migration pathways. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent, distributed by Antibodies.com, was raised against the human CTSZ sequence (UniProt Q9UBR2, Entrez Gene ID 1522) and recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat orthologues, enabling cross-species studies of protease biology.

Validated for Western blot detection of endogenous cathepsin Z, the antibody resolves the ~33-34 kDa mature chain in whole-cell lysates and tissue homogenates, making it useful for probing cancer invasion models, immune cell function, and fibroblast migration assays. Each vial contains 200 µl of liquid formulation; upon arrival, the reagent should be aliquoted into single-use portions and stored refrigerated to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity.
