Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG, this unconjugated primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets Cathepsin Z (CTSZ) for Western Blot detection of a lysosomal cysteine carboxypeptidase from the peptidase C1 family that uniquely performs both carboxy-monopeptidase and carboxy-dipeptidase cleavage on substrate proteins. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal sera, validated against human, mouse, and rat samples and referenced against the UniProt entry Q9UBR2, with the target appearing as a band of approximately 33–34 kDa on immunoblots.

Because Cathepsin Z has been reported to cleave integrin β2 and β3 subunits and to be dysregulated across multiple solid tumour types, the antibody is suited to investigations of leukocyte adhesion, phagocyte migration, tumour invasion through stromal and epithelial compartments, and protease biology in oncology and immunology workflows. Its unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to pair the reagent with HRP, fluorescent, or biotin-labelled secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent, immunofluorescence, or affinity-based readouts, and the rabbit IgG isotype integrates cleanly into standard immunoblotting protocols.

For Research Use Only, the polyclonal antibody should be stored refrigerated between uses and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, preserving activity across repeated Western Blot experiments.
