Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against the chymotrypsin-like proteinase CTRL, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets an endogenous serine protease that is most prominently expressed in pancreatic acinar cells. The 50 µl vial contains IgG-class immunoglobulins that recognize CTRL in murine tissue lysates and have been validated for Western blot detection on reduced SDS-PAGE gels under standard chemiluminescent readout.

Because CTRL is processed and secreted alongside digestive zymogens, the reagent is commonly used to track pancreatic differentiation, exocrine function, and stress-induced protease activation in mouse models. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the full-length protein, improving signal recovery when the antigen is partially cleaved or when samples contain moderate denaturation. Each lot is supplied carrier-free of preservatives that interfere with downstream conjugation, so the antibody can be readily labeled with HRP, biotin, or fluorophores for in-house assay development.

Suggested starting dilutions fall within the 1:500 to 1:2 000 range for Western blot on whole-cell or tissue extracts prepared in RIPA or Laemmli buffer, with overnight 4 °C incubation recommended for low-abundance targets. Aliquot on first use and store at -20 °C in working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across the stated shelf life. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications in humans.
