Rabbit polyclonal IgG from Antibodies.com raised against chymotrypsin-like protease (CTRL, UniProt P40313), a serine-type endopeptidase displaying chymotrypsin- and elastase-2-like activities. The CTRL gene is expressed predominantly in pancreatic acinar cells, where the zymogen is secreted into intestinal fluid following pancreatic stimulation and contributes to dietary protein digestion across a broad pH range.
Validated for Western Blot on mouse samples, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as 200 µL of polyclonal antiserum per vial. The unconjugated format allows researchers to pair the primary reagent with their preferred secondary detection system, including HRP, alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent labels. Mouse pancreatic tissue lysate is a widely reported positive control sample for CTRL immunoblotting.
The expected molecular weight is approximately 28 kDa, with observed bands in the 25-28 kDa region across published validation data. Store refrigerated; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity across multiple experiments.
