Cystinosin (CTNS) is a key lysosomal membrane transporter responsible for exporting cystine out of the lysosome. Defects in the CTNS gene cause cystinosis, a lysosomal storage disorder characterized by progressive cystine accumulation in tissues. This unconjugated IgG polyclonal reagent, raised in rabbit, is supplied as a 200 µL vial and is suitable for detecting endogenous cystinosin in human, mouse, and rat samples through Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows.

Researchers can apply this antibody to characterize CTNS expression, subcellular localization, and regulation in cell culture models, tissue sections, and lysates. Because the antibody is unconjugated, investigators retain flexibility to pair it with their preferred secondary reagent for fluorescence microscopy or other downstream imaging readouts. The reagent supports studies of nephropathic cystinosis, proximal tubule function, and broader lysosomal biology research, and is intended for research use only.

Antibodies.com supplies each lot with supporting quality documentation to help ensure reproducible performance between experiments.
