Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG polyclonal preparation, this Antibodies.com antibody specifically detects beta-catenin (CTNNB1) phosphorylated on serine 37, a priming residue within the GSK-3β-mediated N-terminal degron (S45, S41, S37, S33) that marks cytoplasmic beta-catenin for β-TrCP-dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal turnover. Because S37 phosphorylation reflects active GSK-3β priming of beta-catenin, pS37 signals are routinely used in Western blot and immunohistochemistry read-outs to gauge Wnt pathway flux and to separate primed, degradation-competent beta-catenin from signalling-stable, dephosphorylated species at the membrane or in the nucleus. The reagent cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work across cell-line, xenograft, and primary-tissue models in cancer and developmental-biology laboratories. It is provided as 100 µl of liquid antiserum; for best stability the antibody should be stored at -20 °C and the stock divided into single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only.
