The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets CTLA-4, the cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 that functions as a key negative regulator of T-cell activation and a clinically relevant immune checkpoint receptor. Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated primary antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, packaged as a 100 µl aliquot.

Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the antibody supports studies of regulatory T-cell biology, autoimmune disease models, and characterization of the tumor immune microenvironment. CTLA-4 expression on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, as well as on forkhead box P3-positive regulatory T cells, can be assessed in cell lysates and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections using standard chromogenic or fluorescence detection workflows. Investigators exploring immune checkpoint blockade, ipilimumab mechanism-of-action, and comparative oncology benefit from a polyclonal reagent that binds multiple epitopes on the target.

For laboratory use, aliquot upon first opening and store refrigerated; protect from light and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Intended for research use only.
