This CTCFL polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit host reagent raised against the cancer-testis zinc finger protein also known as BORIS (Brother of the Regulator of Imprinted Sites). Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated liquid, it is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies of chromatin organization and imprinting control across species.

CTCFL is normally restricted to spermatogenic cells in the testis but becomes aberrantly re-expressed in many tumor types, including lung, breast, ovarian, and colorectal cancers. Researchers use this reagent to track CTCFL reactivation by Western blot, localize nuclear expression by immunofluorescence, and probe how CTCFL competes with its paralog CTCF at shared CCCTC binding sites in the genome. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the protein, which is helpful when studying truncated isoforms or when binding-region changes might otherwise reduce detection of a single linear epitope.

Typical downstream applications include follow-up to chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments, profiling of DNA methylation status at CTCF/CTCFL target loci, and characterization of epigenetic dysregulation in cancer cell lines and primary tumor sections.
