CTCF (CCCTC-binding factor) is a highly conserved zinc finger DNA-binding protein that organizes three-dimensional chromatin architecture and regulates transcription, insulator function, and imprinting control. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat CTCF, supporting cross-species comparative studies of gene regulation and chromatin looping.
The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot analysis of nuclear extracts and for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections. Researchers apply it to track CTCF expression in studies of topologically associating domain boundaries, enhancer-blocking activity, and epigenetic regulation.
Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C; limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light. Intended for research use only.
