Raised in rabbit hosts and supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this Antibodies.com antibody recognizes C-terminal binding protein 1 (CtBP1) at an epitope surrounding residue 422 of the human protein. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, supporting studies of CtBP1 expression, subcellular localization, and modification state in human-derived samples.

CtBP1 functions as a transcriptional co-repressor recruited by various DNA-binding partners and is implicated in epithelial-mesenchymal transition, Wnt pathway crosstalk, and apoptosis regulation. The Ab-422 designation targets a defined region of CtBP1, making this antibody a useful tool for distinguishing full-length isoforms or modification-sensitive epitopes in fixed and denatured sample preparations. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives and tolerates modest lot-to-lot variation across multiple bleeds.

Each vial contains 100 µl of liquid antiserum intended for research use only. Storage refrigerated between uses, with aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycling of the polyclonal pool. Working dilutions should be optimized empirically for chemiluminescent Western blot detection and DAB-based immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded human tissues.
