For cancer antigen profiling workflows, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the CT47 cancer-testis antigen family member. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.4, packaged as a 100 µl vial suitable for multiple Western blot experiments. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, the unconjugated reagent recognizes epitopes conserved across human, mouse, and rat CT47 orthologs, supporting translational oncology studies in xenograft, syngeneic, and patient-derived tissue lysates.

CT47 family proteins are normally restricted to testicular germ cells but become re-expressed in many solid tumors, including non-small cell lung carcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and several melanoma lines. Researchers use this reagent to chart re-expression patterns and to screen tumor cell line panels by Western blot, comparing CT47 band intensity against housekeeping controls such as β-actin or GAPDH. For best results, dilute the stock to 0.5–2 µg/ml in blocking buffer, load roughly 20–40 µg of total protein per lane, and incubate membranes overnight at 4 °C before detection with an HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary and standard ECL substrates.

For handling, keep the vial refrigerated and protected from light, aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and store frozen at –20 °C for long-term stability of the polyclonal antibody stock.
