CT47 (Cancer/Testis Antigen 47) belongs to a family of germline-restricted antigens encoded on the Xq24 region of the X chromosome, and Antibodies.com offers a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this target for research use only. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, validated for Western blot detection of the human protein and reported to cross-react with mouse and rat samples. Because CT47 is normally confined to testicular germ cells but is frequently reactivated in melanoma, lung cancer, and other solid tumor types, this polyclonal reagent is commonly used to screen cancer cell line panels and patient-derived tumor lysates for aberrant CT47 expression as part of cancer-testis antigen biomarker discovery and immunotherapy target studies. Store at 4 °C for short-term use; aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles if the vial will be consumed over an extended period.
