Raised in rabbit against the Cystatin-Like 1 (CSTL1) target, this polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody for western blot workflows. The immunogen-derived IgG fraction is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial suitable for repeated benchtop use when stored refrigerated and protected from light.

Reactivity has been validated against human and rat samples, making the antibody appropriate for cross-species expression studies of CSTL1, a cystatin-family member implicated in reproductive tissue biology and reported in differential tumor-expression surveys. The polyclonal format increases the chance of recognising multiple epitopes across the target, which is useful when probing low-abundance bands on western blots of cell lysates or tissue homogenates. Because the conjugate is unconjugated, the reagent can be paired with a secondary antibody of the researcher's choice for chemiluminescent, fluorescent, or chromogenic detection.

Recommended handling: keep the vial refrigerated between uses, avoid freeze-thaw cycles by preparing working aliquots, and equilibrate to room temperature before pipetting. The sodium azide preservative supports short-term microbial stability for in vitro research use only. The 100 µl volume at 1 mg/ml provides ample material for dozens of western blot membranes at typical working dilutions, and the unconjugated format gives flexibility in downstream detection chemistry.
