A rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targeting the CST9LP1 locus is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent. The antibody is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is provided in a 100 µl vial sized for western blot workflows. It has been validated for detection of human and rat CST9LP1 by western blot, supporting cross-species comparison between the two species.

CST9LP1 is a member of the cystatin gene family, a cluster of cysteine protease inhibitor loci mapped to chromosome 20. Because the target is annotated as a transcribed pseudogene, researchers commonly use this reagent to investigate whether the locus is expressed as a stable product in different tissues or whether it acts as a regulatory non-coding transcript. Polyclonal reactivity provides broader epitope coverage, which is helpful when working with a pseudogene-derived sequence that may show variation between samples.

Aliquot the reagent upon receipt and store refrigerated to minimize freeze-thaw cycles; the 15 mM sodium azide in the formulation acts as a preservative. The antibody is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
