Anti-CSN1S1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets alpha-S1 casein (CSN1S1), a calcium-sensitive phosphoprotein of the mammary gland that defines a substantial fraction of total casein in rodent milk. The antibody was raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG preparation, supplied at 200 µl per vial. It is validated for western blot detection of mouse CSN1S1 and is therefore useful for lactation studies profiling milk-protein composition, comparisons of casein isoforms across transgenic lines, and characterization of mammary epithelial differentiation. Whole-cell lysates from lactating mammary tissue or milk whey separated by SDS-PAGE are transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF before probing. Short-term storage at 4 °C is acceptable; for longer keeping, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only.
