Anti-Csk (N63) Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets Csk (N63). It is unconjugated, raised in rabbit, and reported to detect endogenous levels of Csk protein. The antibody is validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids at the N-terminus of human Csk.

The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with a stated purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

C-terminal Src kinase (CSK) is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase whose major function is to specifically phosphorylate a conserved C-terminal tyrosine residue of Src family kinases, thereby down-regulating their kinase activity. CSK is expressed ubiquitously as a protein of approximately 50 kDa in the cytosol, with a fraction distributing to lipid rafts through interaction with the lipid raft-associated protein PAG (also known as CSK-binding protein).
