Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µL volume, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes the human CSE1L protein, a member of the importin-β family of nuclear transport factors also known as CAS (cellular apoptosis susceptibility). It is validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows performed on human samples, giving researchers a single reagent across protein expression, tissue localization, and subcellular imaging studies.

CSE1L mediates the import of proteins carrying specific nuclear localization signals, contributes to chromosome segregation during mitosis, and participates in the p53 tumor suppressor pathway as well as SUMO-dependent modification cascades. These roles make it a frequent target in studies of cell cycle progression, nucleocytoplasmic trafficking, apoptosis regulation, and the contribution of CSE1L overexpression to metastatic behavior and chemoresistance in tumor cell lines.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with the researcher's secondary antibody of choice, whether HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgGs for chemiluminescent Western blot detection or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit IgGs for multiplex fluorescence imaging in IHC and IF. Polyclonal reactivity supports recognition of multiple epitopes on the human CSE1L target, which is helpful when probing post-translationally modified or splice-variant forms.
