Offered through Antibodies.com, this Protein A–purified mouse monoclonal reagent (clone 7631) targets the protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum, an obligate intracellular Apicomplexa responsible for cryptosporidiosis. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg total protein at a concentration of 1 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide, and is recommended for ELISA, immunofluorescence assay (IFA), immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (IHC-P) and immunofluorescence (IF). The host is mouse, the clonality is monoclonal, and the isotype is IgG1, in an unconjugated format that allows users to pair it with their own secondary detection reagents or labels. Clone 7631 was raised against intact oocysts of C. parvum, so it is reactive with whole protozoan oocyst antigen and has been validated for use on protozoa samples. For routine applications, suggested starting dilutions are 1:20–1:200 for ELISA and 1:10–1:50 for IF and IHC-P. For short-term use, the liquid antibody should be stored at 2–8 °C; for long-term storage, aliquot and keep at −20 °C or below, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The product is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
